My Story
Hello, I’m so glad that you’ve come to Global Glam Travel. I founded this company out of a simple dream: to help my clients experience the anticipated excitement when the plane takes off and enjoy the magic of travel!
I established Global Glam travel more than a decade ago, and I’ve planned more than a dozen customized trips for family and friends, and after retiring this year from a career in educational sales, I am now officially opening my business to everyone!
Global Glam Travel is for travelers who want to go, see, do, and experience what the destination has to offer. We are all about helping you become the author of your trip and making the most of your time and money.
I come from a traveling family. My grandmother and my aunts traveled internationally, and my mother’s childhood goal was to visit all 50 states and all 7 continents and at 85 years young, she accomplished her dream!
From the time I was a little girl, I have always wanted to see and shop the world, learn about other cultures, and enjoy thrilling adventures in unforgettable locations!
I moved to the Dominican Republic when I was 25 and since then I have traveled to 45 countries across 6 continents. I’ve traveled solo, with family, with friends, and sometimes with the romantic man of the moment!
I tackle all my travel like I’m Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. It’s an adventure filled with meeting interesting people, seeing new sights, climbing new heights, learning life lessons, soaking it all in and laughing along the way.
And During my travels… I’ve met so many welcoming people. Some of my fondest memories are sipping champagne at a café in the south of France as we awaited the delivery of our custom-made perfumes, standing atop Corcovado Mountain at the foot of the Christ Redeemer statue with my sister overlooking gorgeous Rio de Janeiro and a handsome elderly gentleman at a windy hilltop restaurant in Florence, Italy offering me his suit jacket to keep me warm.
Some of my most emotional and humbling memories are standing with my mom looking out of The Door of No Return in West Africa, walking on Robben Island in South Africa where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, persevered and triumphed, and standing atop Machu Picchu in Peru in breathtaking awe of the 15th century Incans who built it.
Some thrilling adventures I’ve really loved are riding quad bikes through Namibia’s Namib Desert, taking a skiing lesson in the Chilean Andes and hot air ballon riding in Albuquerque!
Whenever I wear a piece of jewelry or clothing I purchased while traveling or see a piece of art displayed in my home from my travels, I am transported back to the memory of the country I was in, the people who sold it to me, my fellow travelers and the happiness I felt finding a special treasure that lifted my spirit!!
