Experiencing and learning about the palace created a strong sense of imagining what life was like three centuries ago. I now have a deeper sense of the cultural, artistic and religious connections to Portugal’s history and its impact on my experiences today.

"I had an opportunity to visit Scotland and Ireland in November 2023 with Becky Smith, owner of Global Glam Travel. It was an incredible experience and a well planned trip from the first class international flights, the five-star hotels and the daily excursions touring sites in Scotland, Glasgow and Ireland. There are several moments I could talk about but, I’ll share my adventure visiting the Cliffs of Moher, the sea cliffs are located at southern western edge Burren region in County Claire, Ireland. The views from the top of the cliffs are breathtaking. Walking along the cliffs allowed me to see this amazing place through my own eyes and create memories that I will forever cherish for a lifetime."

"Antarctica was full of pinch me moments. From seeing colonies of multi-species penguins to icebergs as tall and wide as the eyes can see. Just standing on the stern looking out at the vast ocean saying, “I’m in Antarctica” was unforgettable. However, taking the polar plunge - exhilarating! "Of the many highlights of our Portugal trip, our favorite was the Lisbon Africa experience. The trip took us though areas of the city that were rich with the African presence in Lisbon and showcased places that we never would have found on our own. The day ended with an amazing meal at Casa de Angola where we enjoyed a cuisine that was completely unique for us. Experiencing different cultures and cuisine is what we look for in a travel experience and Becky more than provided that for us."

"During my travels in Colombia I had the pleasure of exploring the vibrant cities of Cartagena, Bogotá, and Medellín. Among them, Cartagena stood out as the most invigorating, bursting with vibrant colors and stunning art murals that captivated my senses. However, the highlight of my journey was discovering Palenque, a remarkable village steeped in history and rich in culture. Known as the first free African town in the Americas, Palenque was founded by formerly enslaved individuals who fiercely resisted the bonds of slavery. This brave community has preserved its unique language and deep African roots for over 400 years, serving as a testament to their resilience and heritage. I highly recommend adding Palenque to your bucket list for an unforgettable glimpse into a remarkable story of freedom and cultural pride!"

"Perhaps the true beauty of Argentina lies in the diversity of experiences it has to offer. I started my day in the beautiful Argentine countryside riding a horse and learning the technique and strategy of playing polo. After the match, we gathered for a traditional Argentine barbeque right there, surrounded by the green fields, blue sky, and mountains in the distance. The food and wine were delicious, and the conversation was wonderful. I finished my day in a charming old theatre watching a tango show where the grace and passion of the dancers actually moved me to tears. I love this vibrant country’s culture and traditions! Hasta la próxima, Argentina!"

"Like a dream, I recently had the marvelous experience of traveling to Morocco under the guidance of Becky Smith. Words like Kasbah and Medina, which I had heard of only in songs, came to vivid and vibrant life for me on this trip! I have traveled on a budget and like royalty. On this trip I had glitz: going to some of the most phenomenal restaurants and rugged hiking: I trekked up the Atlas mountains in my gym shoes and on the back of a mule! I left Morocco feeling fulfilled. I also felt well treated, respected and grateful. I don't think I could have had a better outcome. I loved it!"

"The trip excursions planned on a trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina allowed me to really experience what the country is known for: polo matches and delicious Asado barbecue! Grilled beef, pork, chorizo, chicken and morcilla (blood sausage). The setting was a beautiful vineyard and the rich full bodied Malbec wine which were generously flowing created a Argentine Meal!"

"Turning 30 in Jamaica was the perfect getaway. My boyfriend and I stayed at Princess Senses The Mangrove, took a boat ride on the Black River, and went on a catamaran cruise to Negril. It was fun, peaceful, and a trip I’ll always remember."
